Numerous International Awards and Recognitions

 

Mohammadreza Majidi, a highly talented medical student at Gonabad University of Medical Sciences (GUMS), has received multiple international awards recognizing his exceptional creativity and innovative research in medical and nanotechnology fields:

 

 

  • 🥇 Gold Medal at the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2019, Switzerland — for the invention: “X‑Ray Protective Antibacterial Skin Products (Ointment, Cream, Gel, Lotion)”.

 

 

 

 

  • 🏆 Thailand Award for the Best International Invention, granted by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) during the same Geneva exhibition.

 

 

 

 

  • 🥈 Silver Medal at the Korea International Youth Olympiad (KIYO 4i) 2018, Seoul, South Korea — for the invention: “X‑Ray Protective Nano Fiber Shield containing Complement Tungsten Oxide and Bismuth Oxide Particles”.

 

 

 

  • 🥉 Bronze Medal at the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival 2018, Los Angeles, USA — recognized by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) for outstanding innovation in nanofiber shielding technology.

 

 

 

These international honors highlight Mohammadreza Majidi’s contribution to advancing multidisciplinary innovation in medical nanotechnology and bio‑protective materials.

 

 

National Medical Olympiad and Sheikh al‑Raees Educational Technologies Festival

 

GMU student teamHanieh Babapour, Rezvan Yavari Moqaddam, and Mohammad Tamaddon—won the  "Gold  Medal"  in the Special Section of the 15th National Medical Olympiad for the project “Iran Morning Report Registration System (IRMR)”.

 

 

The same team received the Best Startup Award at the Sheikh al‑Raees Educational Technologies Festival for the identical innovation recognized by the Ministry of Health as one of its hallmark academic startups.

 

 

 

National Medical Olympiad (2021)

Mohammadreza Majidi, a medical student at Gonabad University of Medical Sciences (GMU), achieved the Bronze Medal in the individual round of the Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities and Health category at the National Medical Olympiad.

 

National Medical Olympiad (2014)

Two GMU medical studentsMona Karimzadeh (Silver) and Arezoo Parsapour (Bronze) — won medals in the Basic Sciences field at the 6th National Medical Students’ Olympiad, held September 6–10, 2014 at the Razi Conference Center, Iran University of Medical Sciences, competing among 48 medical universities nationwide.

 

 

Outstanding Student Festival (2023)

Ali Motamadossanayei, a medical student at GMU, was officially recognized as one of Iran’s outstanding students during the 30th National Outstanding Student Festival, attended by the Minister of Health and university presidents.

 

 

 

Motahari  Medical  Education  Festival

 

First  National  Rank  (2018):  Dr. Seyed Farzin Mircheraghi - the faculty member of GMU - and his Colleagues were honored for developing the “Interactive Virtual‑Reality Simulator for Neurological and Pulmonary Clinical Examinations.” at Motahari Medical Education Festival.

Third  National  Rank  (2018):  Awarded to the same faculty member "Dr. Seyed Farzin Mircheraghi" and his Colleagues for “Integration of e‑learning into GMU educational processes.”

 

 

 

First  National  Rank (2025): Dr. Reza Esmaeili and his Colleagues received special recognition for Establishment of the First Post‑Accreditation Monitoring System for Educational Hospitals.”

 

 

 


 

Simorgh Cultural and Artistic Festival

 

Twelfth Edition (2024)

GMU participants achieved multiple national positions:

  • First Place in Screenwriting: Behjat Davoudi.
  • Second Place in Playwriting: Azam Khazaei and Tahereh Tavasoli Zendeh Jan.
  • Selections in Painting, Digital Art, and Screenwriting: Aida Mazari, Hanieh Pudineh, and Mobina Rajaei.

 

Seventh Edition (2019)

  • First Place in Design: Sadegh Heydari.
  • First Place in Calligraphy: Hossein Talebzadeh.
  • Third Place in Classical Poetry: Sahar Alizadeh.
  • Appreciation in Screenwriting and Short Film: Ruhollah Abedi.

 

 


 

Razi Medical Sciences Research and Technology Festival

 

Twenty‑Eighth Razi Festival (2023): The GMU Research and Technology Committee was recognized by the Ministry of Health as a winner in the Legal and Ethical Research Section for committee‑level excellence.

Twenty‑First Razi Festival (2015):GMU Student Research Committee earned Second Place nationally for outstanding university‑level student research performance.

Twentith Razi Festival (2015):GMU Student Research Committee earned Third Place nationally for outstanding university‑level student research performance.

 

 


 

Summary of Continuous Participation (2014–2025)

Throughout the decades, GMU maintained steady national involvement:

  • Regular entries in Simorgh Cultural Festival.
  • Active representation at Motahari Educational Festival.
  • Consistent presence in Razi Research Festival and Transformation in Medical Education conferences.
  • Recurrent qualification in National Medical Olympiad final rounds.

These repeated participations established institutional continuity and prepared the ground for GMU’s eventual top national honors in 2024–2025.
